Inwoods Small School does not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, creed, colour, religion, sex or national or ethnic origin or any non-disqualifying handicap. W e provide for children with special needs and/or a disability whenever this is possible, given the needs of the whole group and the limitations of the premises.
Admissions Procedures
- Please telephone for an initial interview and to see the school. In this first meeting, we will arrange for you to spend a few hours looking at the school and the grounds and speak to the teachers. This first contact could be either when the school is in operation or during Open Days or other celebrations on the grounds at Inwoods.
- A time will then be agreed on for your child to attend a few trial days. We recommend no more than 3 trial days, but the trial may extend up to a week if required. The length of the trial will depend in part on the child’s age and will be decided upon discussion with the parents.
- It is imperative that at least one parent meets with the Head Teacher during this time. We do, however, encourage both parents to meet as many teachers as possible, as we feel it is important that all involved understand and are comfortable with one another and the ethos of the school.
- There is a charge of £10.00 per day per child, to be paid prior to the end of the trial period. At the end of the trial period we will meet with you to discuss how everything went and whether we can offer your child a place. If for any reason your child is not offered a place at Inwoods or you decide it is not what you are looking for, you will still be asked to pay a charge for those days attended. If your child will carry on attending Inwoods, then you will be asked to read and sign the agreement regarding fee terms and conditions and will then be invoiced for the appropriate amount for fees due. You will also be required to fill out a form giving us your contact information and some information on your child.
Inwoods is a small school and it is important that the whole family’s involvement in the school is beneficial to the community as a whole. We will discuss parents’ expectations as well as ours regarding parental participation, status of part-time children and issues unique to small schools. |

This is the function of all education. We need to bring about a good society in which all human beings can live happily in peace, without violence, with security. As a student you are responsible for this.
