Because we are having an internal workshop for educators at Brockwood, we will not be having the Teacher Education Program this year. (The program is postponed to next year - 2014).
The similar 6-day Program for Educators is taking place this year in Ojai, California (July 21st - July 27th, 2013). For further information, please click on the following link: Ojai Teacher Education Program
Educating the Educator
Krishnamurti suggested that, "Education can be transformed only by educating the educator, and not merely creating a new pattern, a new system of action." Around this challenge for transformation, the programs provide a variety of settings and opportunities to grapple with concrete educational issues and questions.
Starting with the questions that we grapple with in our daily lives as educators, the program builds on the insights participants come to from their own deep looking and shared inquiry during the program. We shift from seeking answers to finding key questions that transform the way we see (and respond to) our educational challenges.
These programs are an invitation to awaken (or renew) a sustained passion for teaching, parenting and education.
